‘The Return of Eagle Woman’

I shed the layers of the old, to rise from the ashes anew

To Native Americans, Eagles are one of the six directional guardians. The Zunis carve eagle fetishes for protection, healing and hunting powers. Eagles serve as a messenger between humans and the Creator. Eagle Woman flies closest to the sun, ‘she says never give up on your quest’. To accomplish this be ready to release outdated regrets, thoughts and behaviors. Call on Eagle Woman when you need to improve your awareness from a higher vantage point. Some type of rebirth is about to happen and ‘Eagle woman’ will prepare you for change by showing you how to connect with your courage. Look to the sky and know that Eagle carries your prayers for recovery, whether emotional or physical, to the heavens. Stay strong and courageous and trust that the message will take wing. This is a time for quest and self-discovery.

I am so honored to have found these sacred and magnificent carvings. They are carved from burl wood, which is a unique type of wood with lively grain patterns and outcroppings. A burl is a growth on a tree formed from un-sprouted bud tissue, it is the way the tree heals its boo-boo.

These powerful Eagle carvings come from old growth burl wood. the message of the burl wood  speaks of the old growth wood as a ‘holy place/ portal’ where barriers between the material world and the spiritual world are thinner. The burl in itself is a natural Sigil. The teaching of this magical wood is that ‘Unexpected beauty lives in Imperfection! This wood exemplifies the beauty found within Mother Nature’s imperfections (which we all know is divinely orchestrated.) Burl wood is connected to the Tree of Life, which is also a survivor.

Eagle Woman will stretch your limits to new ‘altitudes and attitudes’. Her wings hold powerful magic and purpose; her talons hold laser sharp vision allowing one to get thru the fears to the other side of a healed heart. Eagle conveys the powers and messages of Great Spirit. Eagle is mankind’s connection to Great Spirit because it flies higher than any other bird. The Eagle brings the message of renewed life because it is associated with the east winds – the direction of spring, dawn and rebirth. Eagle signals new beginnings. Native Americans have associated the Eagle with great mystery & vision, wisdom, and strength.

Eagle symbolizes taking responsibility for one’s actions; it is a symbol of salvation and hope.  Eagle Woman shows us a ‘new marriage of the Feminine and the Eagle’. She represents that which the eagle stands for as it flies with Great Spirit; the gifts of eagle for women (and mankind) are fearlessness, magnificence, renewal, vision, great spiritual aim, and the ability to soar to new summits.

The calling of the Eagle Woman is a dynamic declaration of woman’s ability to break free from old typecasts and stereotypes. The Eagle aspect of Women seeks a new chronicle that shows ones true self and destiny. She teaches ‘now is the time for women of Earth to demonstrate the gifts of Eagle.’ A’ho

(A’ho is spoken at the end of prayers, ceremonies, or affirmations, much like the word “Amen.” It is used to express an agreement and to honor what has been said, symbolizing a mutual understanding of the sacred unity within all things.)

Condor Agate

Condor Agate is a gateway to spiritual enlightenment and divine energy.

There is a Native American prophecy that states

‘When the Condor and Eagle fly together again

It will bring renewed peace to the world.

Condor Agate was first discovered in Argentina in 1993, it is found high in the snowcapped mountains near San Rafael, Argentina; within these mountains stretches an empire of stone mixed with cloud. A mountainous place where liquid earth cooled eons ago into bands of chalcedony quartz now called “Condor Agate.”

Condor agate was named after the condors that encircled the mine in Argentina.  Condor Agate helps to balance and align the lower chakras, breaking up any dense energy held within them.  It can help to balance and strengthen what is weak within the body, mind and spirit. Shamans have revered this stone as a magical prospect that opens portals to other realms.  Legend tells this stone imparts inner & outer vision, and the ability to perceive invisible energies.

Condor Agate is a stone that is believed to have many spiritual properties and rightly so; Condor Agate is thought to promote equilibrium and steadiness in the mind and body. It is believed to improve concentration, enhance mental occupation, and soothe the easily distracted mind. These Condor Agates kindle the imagination and connection to forces grander than self; they remind us that Earth endures and rules. Legend says Condor Agate can lift one’s vision to a place above the clouds and mountains. This stone boosts inner perspective and shifts the way one sees life. Condor Agate is believed to attract prosperity, inspire positivity, and bring grounding to ones dreams.

Seeing a vulture or condor can hold numerous spiritual meanings; it is associated with transformation, and cleansing of the soul.  Vultures are nature’s way of recycling and purifying the environment. This is a message of cleansing and renewal, telling that old patterns of negativity are being removed to make way for something new and shiny. Vultures symbolize the ability to transform and rise from the ashes as one goes thru a period of change and rebirth.

Condors are Watchers. They are magical birds. The Andean Condor has an impressive wingspans reaching up to 10 feet. Peruvians connect the Condor with the heavenly Thunderbird. This correlation has much to do with Condor’s expansive wingspan, which is larger than any other bird of prey.  Condors are born with their eyes wide open. As a watcher, Condor Spirit looks to see life in a different way. Condor awakens our perception and reasoning abilities. It reminds us that the Divine abides within all of life.

When Condors meet a strong wind, they are not deterred. A Condor’s wings face those airstreams with confidence; condors master the Element of Air.  It is free and unpredictable, Air cannot be seen. As the wind changes, so goes life. If you want to know where the winds of change blow, ask Condor. Condors are very ancient and lived side-by-side with Saber-tooth Tigers; this fact within itself evokes powerful imagery. Incas once told that the Condor carried our prayers to the gods and returned with answers. Living on hard mountain rocks, Condors mate for life. When babies come, both partners share in the responsibility to incubate and feed the chicks; this is a lovely emblem of equality in relationships as well as devotion and fidelity.

People throughout the Amazonian basin respect Condor as one who communicates with spirits. He represents the soul’s progression toward spiritual ascension through the lessons of many lives. Condor masters the weather bestows wisdom and vision and inspires the psychic art of prophecy. When Condor begins flying into your life, he may be bearing an important message from the Ancestors, Divinity, or a loved one who has passed, no matter what It is an important mission and Condor does not do this lightly for transporting such information is a sacred task.

In ancient Egypt the Goddess MUT (pronounced Muut) was a powerful mother goddess. She was the vulture/condor goddess of the sky. Mut was depicted as a woman with large wings, reinforcing her connection with the sky and heavens.

These stones and the energy of condor and vulture stand as a symbol of self-worth and perseverance, embodying the ability to maintain grace and calmness when it seems life is pushing against you. Vultures are known for their protective nature. They teach the importance of cleansing your life of negativity and embracing the protective and nurturing aspects of your personality.

The Vulture/Condor symbolizes the misinterpreted nature of transformation and renewal. It encourages embracing change, understanding the cycle of life and death, and finding harmony and purification in one’s life. The Vulture is a powerful ally admitting to one’s flaws and turning weaknesses into strengths.
