The main theme for May is “REFLECTION”

This is a month that supports internal self-observation and reflection offering deep insights into who you are and what you are doing in your life. It is a time of preparation for breakthroughs and the potential for more dramatic change coming in the next few months. If you use this time wisely, you can align yourself with your own authentic self that is based on your own current truth rather than old patterns and outdated belief systems.

Each one of us out-pictures a set of patterns that reflects an experience back to us. This is the law of attraction. What you put out, you receive back. We are usually so busy pushing ourselves to catch up with our future that we seldom have the luxury to really study this phenomenon. We have now been given the gift of reflection to re-anchor who we are in a more personally authentic and fertile ground based on the truth we access through our own self observation. This is all in preparation for great opportunities for change in the coming months.

The self-observation and reflection includes both the emotional system as well as insights of the higher mind. It is very important to keep the rational mind out of this process as the rational mind tends to overthink everything and bases its conclusions on past experiences only and does not consider new insights or your emotional intuition and awareness. The higher mind is engaged this month and should be given the freedom to bring new awareness into your psyche and reflection of who you are.
This is a journey of self-discovery and you may be surprised at what shows up. Some truths will be more challenging than others to face with neutrality. It may take courage to embrace certain insights especially when they involve others. It may take courage to commit to what you know is right for you as you surely will be disappointing others who may be still attached to an old pattern of behavior or dependency.

Freedom is just on the other side of this time of reflection. As difficult as it may be to disengage from attachments and co-dependencies, the freedom to become more authentic in your life is worth the sacrifice. So, pay attention and be present. Pay attention to what is being reflected back to you by others. Pay attention to what you are reflecting back to others. Pay attention to your insights, intuition and curiosity. Use that curiosity to question everything in your life. And be inspired by the answers.
It is not time yet to for drastic change to manifest but rather to prepare and make plans and set intentions based on insights, reflection and truth. Patience is a quality to be nurtured this month with the understanding that there is plenty of time ahead and timing is everything. Through this pandemic, change in routine, and self-isolation, we have been given the gift of healing our relationship with time and any urgency you feel should be channeled into your own self-reflection rather than action. That will come in good time.

How the month shows up:

This is the biggest area of focus this month as reflection is very personal and the insights are unique to you. There may be days when you feel very internal and at peace with yourself and there may be other days when you feel irritated and impatient with others. There may be days when you feel content with who you are and other days when you feel you are just simply not getting your needs met but you don’t have a clue what your needs actually are. You just know they are not being met.

You will need to stay out of impatience and martyrdom as those two obstacles will be attempting to throw a big monkey wrench into the process. If you find yourself in impatience, remind yourself that there is plenty of time, so sit back and go with the flow. If you find yourself feeling victimized by your own dissatisfaction and you are tempted to blame something or someone, take responsibility for your situation, tell the truth and step up into a more proactive commitment to change what does not work. No one else can fix your life but you.

The gifts of this time are the potential for self-discovery and a deeper understanding of who you are and what your purpose is. This has always been an important curiosity for most of us and this time is giving us an opportunity to redefine ourselves to a more authentic expression. Watch for projections of others as you stand your ground when making a statement about your own truth. Others can be threatened by change especially when there is co-dependency or enabling.

So, speaking of co-dependency and enabling, these are areas that come under scrutiny as you reflect on your relationships, who they are, and where they fit into your life. There are two camps with relationship issues this month. One camp is the one where you state “this does not work for me anymore”, and you follow it up by committing to change. The second camp is the one where you recognize value in a relationship and commit to feeding it and nurturing that connection.

You will have the opportunity to reflect on lessons learned, your own attitudes and behaviors, karma, agreements, beginnings, completions, intentions, desires, satisfaction and what you can do to enhance and enrich your experience of being with others. Reflect on how your relationships are reflecting back to you as well as what kind of messages you are sending out. Some of the challenging truths will be related to relationships and you may have to make some hard decisions in order to honor your own path.

Reflection is a way to integrate and process emotional, physical and psychological experiences and information. Pay attention to your body this month and to what gets triggered. The lungs are vulnerable as well as the throat, thyroid and all the sexual organs. We carry a lot of karmic patterns in these areas and the process of reflecting, clearing and integrating material from the past may affect you physically as well as emotionally. The lungs especially are engaged in processing old grief including its connection with regret and disappointment.

The sexual organs process shame among other energies. The throat and thyroid are connected with self-expression and the fear of speaking one’s truth. Watch for sore throats, lung congestion and vulnerability in the second chakra area including the potential for bladder and urinary tract discomforts.

To support your emotional well-being, it is important to nurture beauty and creativity in your life. If you get too serious this month and deprive yourself of beauty, laughter, comfort and creativity, you will not be a happy camper. Find ways to feed your soul through your own authentic needs and make sure you have practical spiritual practices to keep you grounded and moving forward in a good way.

This area of life may seem like it is taking a siesta but there is still a lot of movement as you are reflecting on the purpose, authenticity, practicality, satisfaction and motivation of all of your projects and partnerships. The whole concept of what we do to be productive in life is changing rapidly and this is part of the reflection this month. What are doing? What do you want? How do you want to be and be seen? What is your purpose?

There may be some hard truths to face here as well and there may be changes you were not expecting, but the attitude of taking responsibility for creating your own life situations is really paramount to keeping positive as structures disintegrate and then reform themselves in a different way around you. Keeping a “don’t know mind” about how things will “look” in the future gives great freedom to the universe as well as to your own creative self to manifest something in the future you may not be able to imagine right this moment.

If you do the work to reflect, get the insights and follow your intuition with the courage to change, then all you have to do is trust that you will magnetize exactly what you need when the timing is right.

The environment is presently like an incubator for birthing a new world, new attitude and new belief system. Incubators are warm, tight and protected spaces. With the quarantine that most of us are experiencing, our environment is like an incubator. So, allow this incubator to grow you and nurture you instead of being in resistance. The is the quality of being in the void, floating in the amniotic fluid of the womb, not yet formed or ready to be birthed, not yet adapted to a personality or a set of tasks and intentions.

Take this month to cherish the opportunity to be with yourself in reflection. Nurture your own immediate environment as you reflect on what supports you and what does not. You may find yourself doing more clearing of stuff and space or even making a decision to completely shift how your environment supports you. A change of location is not out of the picture or using spaces in a different way is also possible.

May 1-7: We are a bit antsy during this time and can be impatient with some confusion about the next steps. When in doubt, do nothing and wait for clear signs through your reflective process and intuition. Impatience will block clarity and only being very present with yourself and your feelings will open the space for the clarity you need.

This time could also be prone to self-deprecation as you ponder your choices and opportunities or lack thereof. Just remember that there is always a bigger picture that we are all a part of. Where one door closes another always opens as that is the law of the universe. The doors may all seem closed at the moment but new ones will open and if you are paying attention you will notice where they are.
The best way to use this time frame is to relax into what is showing up without expectation, attachment or impatience. Resist the temptation to be distracted by other people’s drama.

May 7: Full Moon in Scorpio is Thursday May 7 at 4:45AM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) The “Flower Moon” offers an opportunity to explore meaning and emotional satisfaction in your life. Do you have what you need to bloom in your own authentic way? Is your personal medicine, talent and purpose being nourished? Where do you need to make changes based on your emotional truth?
Allow yourself to be guided by your sense of curiosity and your attraction to certain energies and people. This full moon amplifies the power of creativity and activates the second chakra. As you explore your emotional satisfaction make sure you also set good boundaries around your field so you don’t attract what is not in alignment with you.

May 8-15: Deep insights are possible during this time frame if you make yourself available to them. It is important to suspend your habits ad patterns about time and how you use it and whether there is enough time or too much time. You have the opportunity to reboot your relationship to time by reflecting on the meaning that time has had in your life in the past and the meaning that time has in your life now and how you would like time to support you in the future.

Truth will rear its head during this time frame as well and you may be faced with some decisions that are incredibly inspiring and bring you excitement about a new expression of self, but some may give you grief and bring up regrets and resistance. You are bound to disappoint someone during this time. Have courage and all will be well as long as you act from a place of emotional authenticity and not from a triggered reaction.

May 16-23: You will either feel incredibly in the flow and connect with a deep sense of rightness and personal satisfaction OR you will be frustrated, overly emotional and feel out of sorts with yourself and others. If you are in this negative space, you will need to stop everything. Stop resisting, stop trying to second guess your process, put your rational mind on the shelf and allow yourself to drift into a different space. Experience the void as a place of peace and security instead of a place of unknown fear and insecurity. Trust is essential in these times. Trust that your personal power, authentic purpose and unseen allies will help to guide the right opportunities onto your path and the right choices into your field.

May 22: New Moon in Gemini is Friday, May 22 at 11:38 AM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) More on this powerful New Moon will be sent as an update to our Power Path email list. (sign up above, at top)

May 24-31: A time of hope, renewal and inspiration. Hopefully you have had some insightful and intuitive reflections that can now fuel decisions and choices you can make from a place of emotional intelligence. This is a good time frame to make plans, set new intentions and complete what has to be completed in terms of releasing old dreams, relationships that need to end and habits that no longer support you.

If there is still confusion about who you are and what you are doing, ask for help. Connect with your allies, reach out to your community and get the support you need. This a great time for sharing ideas and communicating with others. Inspiration will breed more inspiration. Anything is possible and we are about to go into a time of great upheaval and change. Make sure you have your ducks in a row and if you don’t, make this your primary focus.

Happy Reflecting!
Have a great month!
